Ensure the extension is enabled, refresh the job page, and verify you’re on a LinkedIn job detail (not the feed). Disable other LinkedIn helper extensions, then hard refresh (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+R).

Unlock the extension with your master password, open Settings → AI, and re-enter your key if prompted. No hardware security keys are required.
Licenses auto-check on launch. If you just renewed from a lapsed account and it has not updated, click “Refresh Status” (or “Refresh License”) in Settings → Billing. Also confirm you’re using the same email that purchased Pro. If it still fails, email us with your receipt email and order ID.
After updating your payment, open the extension Settings → Billing and click “Refresh Status” to restore Pro access immediately. We also run automatic checks in the background.

You can upgrade from monthly to annual anytime. Downgrading from annual to monthly isn’t supported—annual is a one-time payment for the full year.
Monthly subscribers can cancel anytime via the cancellation link in your purchase receipt email. Pro remains active until the end of the billing period. Annual plans are non-refundable and provide access for the full year.
Yes. You can pause your subscription (immediately or at period end) to stop billing temporarily. We recommend pausing if you might return—customers often keep limited access while paused. You can set a resume date or resume anytime to continue billing; canceled subscriptions can’t be reinstated.
Go to Settings → Data → Export. Choose JSON (single backup file) for restores, or CSV to get three files (applications, companies, profile) for spreadsheets/other apps. All exports are local—no servers involved.
Use “Delete all my data” for a secure wipe and fresh start. Then re-run onboarding and re-enter your API key if you use AI.
Data is stored locally for privacy. Use Export as JSON (backup) to create a single file and restore later (merge or replace). Use Export as CSV (applications, companies, profile) to read your data in other tools. Backups and restores validate structure before running and avoid duplicates in merge mode.

An API key is like a password that lets Executive Job Hunter communicate directly with AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) on your behalf. When you use features like resume tailoring or company research, your request goes straight from your browser to the AI provider—we never see it or touch it.
Think of it as having your own direct line to the AI, rather than going through a middleman. You create the key once, paste it into the extension, and you're set.
Most AI-powered tools charge you a subscription and handle the AI calls on their servers. That means your resume, job descriptions, and career data pass through their systems. We do things differently:
